Careers at Brave

Brave is more than a place to work. It’s a way to make a meaningful difference. We’re on a mission to end overdose fatalities. We can’t do it alone. It takes a team.

See what it’s like to work at Brave.

Life at Brave

Working at Brave is a bit different than what most people are used to.

Creating a more just world starts with us, in how we show up for the job and how we show up for each other.

We’re a lateral organization, which means we all report to each other. We don’t have superiors. We give all team members autonomy over how they work and expect a high degree of accountability from everyone.

We aspire to be a ‘teal’ organization, characterised by self-management, wholeness, and a deeper sense of purpose. If that’s not a familiar term, have a look at the book Reinventing Organizations.

This results in a unique working environment that you won’t find anywhere else.

"I’ve learned a great deal about LOVE, harm reduction and compassion through everyone I've met through Brave. Many are keen to learn more and supportive of any effort to prevent overdose and death, and then there are a few who step up and SERVE this community. Some fine folks share a belief that it’s not "every man for themselves", rather we're building a culture of awareness and action to demonstrate what's possible."
